We will divide this business into 6 parts like mentioned above. And we need to get each one in place for getting sales on Instagram. Let’s go.
Profile
First, let’s create a cool looking profile. For example, let’s sell t-shirts to 20 year olds on Instagram. Let’s say the business’s name is Limitless State. So we will create a profile on that name.
I wouldn’t focus on the name and profile picture yet. But try to keep it as professional as possible.
Then in bio, keep a short bio, telling about the important details of the business like USPs, pricing, delivery, etc. Keep it short.
Then it’s time to put up some posts. The images are easily available. You can create the t -shirt mockups in various colours using AI, like Meta AI on WhatsApp.
Make sure it all looks beautiful. That’s the most important part. You should spend 50% of your total business time in visuals. Make sure it’s as attractive as possible.
Now we have posted the tshirt mockups in the feed.
Also one more point when it comes to profile optimization is to create content specific for each location that is for feed, stories, carousels, reels, separately.
It’s not like you create one post and put it everywhere. You need to create posts specifically for each place in Instagram, so that it’s native to the consumption.
Okay, so now we have created our profile and we have some content in our profile. Specifically in feed and stories.
Business
In this portion, we will discuss about the business, how the sales process begins and ends, you know just the main business aspects.
First, let’s assume that we run a dropshipping business where we will be shipping products from the manufacturer to the customer directly. Now in this process, we need upfront capital of some amount. Let’s say 5k-10k minimum.
Why?
Because we will be providing COD (Cash on Delivery) option to our customers, so it’s like we will be paying money upfront to the manufacturer and collect from the customer later.
So for simplicity and time constraint, we will assume that this is our business and we are going to make sales in this way.
Audience
The product and the audience should fit when we sell a product. Since it’s a basic product like a tshirt, it’s easy to sell it with some creative offers.
Now let’s talk about the audience. By audience, how to reach them at the lowest cost possible. I prefer running Ads on Instagram as opposed to organic content.
Why?
Because Ads cost less, and the ROI can be made positive with Ads with ease. Since it’s a product that we are trying to sell, we will be running some ads to drive traffic to our shopify online store.
The most important part of any business is the ability to reach their customers at the lowest cost.
You may have a great product and the audience are waiting for your product but if you can’t reach them then you cannot sell.
So reach is very important. Since we are in Instagram, reaching people is easy, all we need to make sure that our return on ad spend is more than one, which means for every one rupee I spend I get more than one rupee.
Content
People may think it’s just about posting static tshirt images everywhere. It need not be so. Here’s where your creativity kicks in.
You can create beautiful t-shirt images using AI with apps like Meta AI and other AI tools. You can try various creatives at the same time to see which one performs better and then spend more money on it.
If you can’t come up with anything creative, play around with the colours and shapes as the design of the post and see where you can go with it.
Sales Channel
Next we will talk about the sales channel. The second most important element in the business after REACH.
When it comes to sales channel, it describes the entire sales funnel right from awareness stage to the conversion stage.
Let’s see this with an example. Let’s pick a navy blue tshirt. We created a feed post and we just boosted it for some cash.
Now let’s say the person other side needs quality t-shirts at great price and he encounters our ad with attractive offer. He clicks it, goes to our shopify store, enter their information and places an order.
The sales funnel should be so simple that’s why we chose shopify because it’s clean and simple and gets sales.
Initially avoid creating the sales pages yourself because it can turn into a headache. Just buy a basic shopify plan and get all of it set up and get some sales. Then let’s worry about the rest.
Visuals
When it comes to Instagram, Visuals can make or break your business. It’s that important. You don’t need to create stunning visuals, That’s not what I’m saying, I’m saying you need to create beautiful visuals, it can be minimalistic, it should be colorful and clean.
There are so many cool things you can do here. Get creative and try out different visuals.
Visuals are the primary thing that stop the scrolling of the people. It need to be pleasant and interesting.
Pricing, quality of the product comes next. First, it’s reach and visuals. Get these two right, you’ll convert better.
Once you get all these elements in place, now it’s time for sales. Run ads on the Instagram platform and get some sales.
Once you get some sales, now it’s time to beautify our profile and landing pages even more beautiful.
You must always ensure that you’re getting sales than worry about the beautification of the landing page.
